Lucky’s Crew Animal Rescue gives animals in need a second chance at life
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Giving someone or something in need a second chance is a great act of kindness. This is even more true when it comes to a second chance in life.
That’s exactly what rescue organizations do when they give helpless animals another chance to find loving, forever homes. That’s exactly what Lucky’s Crew Animal Rescue does.
An online animal rescue organization is attracting attention. They save puppies, kittens and even blind horses. The catch is that you have to go through their website if you want to adopt.
The online animal rescue organization known as Lucky’s Crew Animal Rescue is giving animals a second chance to find them forever homes. What differentiates them from other rescue groups or shelters. They are online.
Ana Deshpande: “If you want to adopt a dog from us, you can visit our website,” said Ana Deshpande, program manager at Lucky’s Crew. “Each dog has its biography above and below you will find a link to the application for adoption.”
Even though it is online, the animals still need to be cared for and it can be a lot of work.
“Day to day there’s a lot of feeding, a lot of walking and a lot of enrichment activity to try to keep their brains going and keep them from getting bored,” said Kelly Gould, rescue manager. at Lucky’s Crew.
The rescue has about 60 animals, most ready for adoption. But what they need most are donations of animal food, blankets and toys.
“We always need volunteers, especially foster homes to bring our animals into homes so they can acclimate to that environment and make it easier for them to be adopted into their forever homes,” Gould said.
The relief organization is not funded by the government, which means that it does not survive thanks to the government but rather thanks to your donations.
If you would like to donate to this organization, you can go to their website through this link.
