TULSA, Oklahoma (KOKI) – The City of Tulsa is now offering city employees a stipend of $ 250 if they are vaccinated against COVID-19.
The city announced the new initiative on Wednesday evening after councilors voted to approve the program at a meeting.
The Employee Vaccine Allocation Program aims to help increase vaccination rates among employees in the city of Tulsa.
The city says that as of November 1, 2021, each vaccinated employee of a municipal department in which at least 70% of their team members are vaccinated, will receive an additional allowance of $ 250, which would translate into a total allowance. $ 500 for people vaccinated. in departments with a vaccination rate of over 70 percent.
Funding for this program amounts to nearly $ 1.8 million, from American Rescue Plan Act funds.
